Ivan Miyingo Quintus Eminent, venerated, and illustrious Ugandan Photo-Journalist Saad Shots (botanical names; Saad Byakuleka), departed this life in tragedy following a motorbike accident on Friday evening, April 18, 2025. The Ugandan photography community is mourning the loss of this one-of-a-kind spirit. ​ Saad Shots is celebrated for his compelling visual storytelling and significant contributions to Uganda's creative scene. His untimely death has elicited an outpouring of grief and tributes from fellow photographers, artists, and admirers across various ecological niches and biomes.
