Saad Shots I Dies in Motor Accident along Entebbe Express Highway

Eminent, venerated, and illustrious Ugandan Photo-Journalist Saad Shots (botanical names; Saad Byakuleka), departed this life in tragedy following a motorbike accident on Friday evening, April 18, 2025. The Ugandan photography community is mourning the loss of this one-of-a-kind spirit. ​

Saad Shots is celebrated for his compelling visual storytelling and significant contributions to Uganda's creative scene. His untimely death has elicited an outpouring of grief and tributes from fellow photographers, artists, and admirers across various ecological niches and biomes.

A Lament Upon the Fall of Saad, Bard of the Lens

O grievous hour! Tragedy hath laid her cruel hand upon the realm of Ugandan artistry. The noble craft of photography doth mourn, for the famed chronicler of light, Master Saad Shots — born Saad Byakuleka — hath met his untimely end upon the roads of Entebbe, stricken in a fateful steed’s misfortune.

This gallant spirit, whose heart did throb with the thunder of engines and the grace of artful vision, oft shared with his faithful flock the joy of his iron companion. And lo — in his final tale writ in fleeting Snap, he did whisper unto his beloved steed: “Missed you, babe.” A soft farewell, now steeped in sorrow, that lingers as ghostly verse upon the lips of those who loved him.

Renowned was he — a sage of stills, a weaver of memory in frames — whose lens did bless the lands of tourism, the revels of gatherings, and the passions of sport. His eye, like Apollo’s own, beheld the world in splendid hue.

Alas! The heavens do conspire and stars do weep, for such a soul — bright, unbridled, and full of fire — is now returned to dust. This loss, bitter and profound, rends the hearts of kin, companions, and the wide tapestry of Uganda’s noble creatives.

More tidings shall we bear as time unfolds its scroll, and rites are summoned to bid this gentle knight adieu.

Rest thee well, dear Saad. Though thy lens be stilled, thy vision shall endure — immortal as the sunlit morn.

Pharm, MPS THE 6 BLIND MEN AND THE ELEPHANT The story of the blind men and the elephant is a famous philosophical parable about perception and truth.  In the story, several blind men encounter an elephant for the first time, but each touches only one part of the animal.  The man who touches the elephant’s side believes it is a wall because the surface feels broad and solid.  Another touches the trunk and insists it is a snake because it feels long and moving.  One who touches the tusk says it is a spear, while the one holding the leg believes it is a tree because it feels thick and sturdy.  The man touching the tail concludes it is a rope, and the one touching the ear says it is a fan because of its wide and flexible shape.
